Company History

Louisiana Controls was established in 1981 as an independent representative of the Robertshaw Controls line. At that time, commercial building controls were pneumatic. Today, the controls industry has evolved from electric to direct digital controls. Current technology utilizes web based systems with integration into HVAC equipment.

In 2007, Louisiana Controls opened its Mechanical Service division. This division was developed after listening to our customers and seeing a need for this service within our community. Controls go hand-in-hand with equipment, and we want to be your full-service provider, working with you to resolve issues, calibrating your system to run at maximum efficiency and extending the life of your equipment.

The Temperature Controls industry has seen numerous changes over the years and Louisiana Controls is the industry leader in the local market. The current, second-generation ownership has worked for our company for over 20 years:

"The final result of all these efforts was a 46 percent reduction in energy use at the Claiborne campus, culminating in

the Battle of the Buildings award for overall energy use reduction. Annual energy operating costs at Claiborne fell

from $2.07 per square foot in 2012 to $1.32 per square foot in 2013, an improvement over the first year operations

and well below the per square foot cost of the old school facility."
